About me…
Having grown up locally, in Grendon, and receiving a piano for my 4th birthday, music was inevitably going to become a fundamental part of my life. Eight piano grades later and singing in many musical performances, I decided to fly the nest and study Music at Lancaster University. After much thought, I chose to train as a music & performing arts teacher, to hopefully enthuse the younger generation of musicians and performers.
Between 2006 & 2016 I pursued this dream and moved to Clitheroe teaching in the beautiful Ribble Valley. During this time, I directed many musical and showcase performances and set up a successful choir with over 100 members; many of whom I now call my friends.
I’ve taught private piano and vocal lessons to both children and adults, performed at a number of weddings, and edited, transposed and arranged more music and backing tracks than I care to remember! I have had the privilege of teaching some outstanding pupils, developing their individual skills, with a number of them now working and performing in the entertainment industry.
2017 saw the beginning of a new venture back where it all began, hoping to share what I learned and inspire a new community in the amazing benefits that music can bring to people of all ages. Music is not only a great source of entertainment, but promotes confidence, builds friendships and is undoubtedly good for your mind, body and soul.
Music is for everyone…it’s never too late to start!
